Makha Diop, né à Thiers au Sénégal en 1958, est diplômé des Beaux arts de l'École Nationale des Arts à Dakar (1975-1980).
Il a commencé à exposer son travail en 1978 jusqu'à 1981 à Dakar, puis à Lagos (Nigeria), Accra (Ghana), Atlanta (USA), Paris (France), Londres (Royaume-Uni), Bonn (Allemagne), Rome (Italie) et Stockholm (Suède).
En 1985 il peint une fresque à l'Institut Mauritanien de Recherches Institut Océanographiques et des Pêches à Nouadhibou (Mauritanie).
En 1986 il s'est installé en Casablanca où il a enseigné le dessin et la peinture jusqu'à 1988.
Depuis il vit et travaille à Barcelone.

In 1985 he painted a Fresco in the Institut Mauritanien de Recherches Océanographiques et des Pêches in Nouadhibou (Mauritania) where he was requested to dress the offices with his drawings as well.
In 1986 he moved to Casablanca where he taught Drawing and Painting until 1988.
